General Update -

crunchBook Storage Goodness
I have a pile of books on my floor. A nice pile of books needing storage. My Bookshelf in my study is full to overflowing, AND theres a heap of stuff in a cupboard still that needs to be stored on a bookshelf if I can actually get the space. I need new bookshelves.
There's a place in Bayswater called Allboard Disributors that will computer cut timber to size and drill holes and edge strip it to your exact dimensions.
So I drew up the design for some shelves in white Melamine and sent the plans off to get cut. I should get the wood back in the next few days at which point I can bolt it together and replace the existing shelves with these new ones.
The Shelves are 2200 wide by 2400 high built in two sections of two. so I should get about 22 meteres of shelving if I use all the shelves.
Then I have to store the other ones which dont FIT anywhere else.
Suit Goodness
I had a party to go to on Saturday where the invite read something like "dress to impress" or soemthign similar. What it meant was "dont come in Jeans because thats just uncool"! Anyway, I pulled out my suit and was goign to wear that..... except It doesnt fit anymore! :( Well, the jacket does but the pants dont. Which is a real shame because its only been worn about 10 times in the 10 years I have owned it. I can probably count the times I have worn it. Connect Interview was the first, Then an interview at a company up the road for a friends comapny i didnt take, Then a freind borrowed it for a few interviews, then a wedding (P&Ls) , Then to the races, then about 4 job interviews and such, then another wedding (S&Bs) andf then I cant rememebr wearing it after that.. So thats 11 times I know it has been worn. ITs probably been worn a few other times that I have forgotten.
Anyway, Having realised it didnt fit and realised that I didnt actually have ANY smart clothes anymore for going to interviews or other formal or smart functions, I decided to wander down to a suit shop on Sunday to pick up a new suit. an hour later and I walk out of the shop with a new black two button single breasted suit and pants, a white smart shirt, a blue smart shirt with french cuffs , a black smart shirt, and a new belt to fit. all for the measly sum of somethign insignificant.
(as to why buy a suit if im never goign to wear it... better to have one and not use it than not have one and urgently disocver I need to look smart)
Talking of looking good - Sop Aria - Or, How to Cross dress
I need some suggestions. I've been asked to go to the Monucs Sop Aria this year. As far as I can tell its a Choral thing where everyone cross dresses and the guys try and sing soprano. Given that I cant even sing and I wouldnt even know where to start singing, im not going along to sing. BUT I still need to find a nice dress to wear. So what I need from people are suggestions on what to wear. Examples would be usefull. I'm probably goign to go op shop hunting on Sunday if I can make it. I HAVE reserved the right not to go if I cant find anything I want to wear.
Laptop is sickly
My Laptop screen is sickly :( The top third is crystal clear. The bottom two thirds is cactus. (The cactuis part of the screen has wehat looks like scan lines on it, you can see the picture but its impossible to read you can just see the screen sort of ) This is the second time the same problem has occured and dell has fixed it once already. The first time the dell tech came in and replaced the screen and video card. :( Wahg!.... just as well the game im playing at the moment is on the other computer and is ancient (Deus Ex 2 )
