Phrases and words I hate to hear
Jun. 9th, 2006 12:02 pmI know my use of English is often very poor. But that doesn't prevent me from having a gripe about other peoples use of English.
When I'm listening to people talk theres been a number of phrases I have heard that annoy me. I hear the phrase and I grit my teeth and want to STRANGLE the speaker.
I'm sure other people have phrases or words they don't like to hear.
My phrases or words I don't like to hear regularly:
"Basically": Well, yes. I would HOPE you present your thoughts in the simplest format.. Why make it complex if you don't have to???
"To Be Honest" : Again, I would hope what your saying is honest Why say it if its bullshit?
"Honestly"
I'm sure theres others. and as they come to mind I will add them with the Tag of "Annoying Phrases"
