Being Judgemental
Nov. 4th, 2005 09:12 amSo I was sitting on the train platform yesterday waiting for my train and I was looking at what people were reading.
I saw a girl carefully reading through a "Thats Life". Now, having flicked through one of these magazines once at a friends place, I have to ask the question: What sort of person reads this magazine. and what sort of person reads this magazine in public!????
Are there any magazines worse than this one? It looks to me to be total gutter trash.
Suffice to say, It didnt make the girl look like an intelectual giant.
Another ammusing observation. A couple of people standing in the queue to a film, both reading books. (Just to improve the stereotype a little, they were wearing black, had long hair, the girl would probably fit the stereotype of a "romantic goth" and the boy would fit in as anksy young goth. Now, I know people like to read and all... but.. in a cinema queue? whilst together?? in public? :) And this sort of person wonder why they are looked at weird like!
