I have a HUGE pile of cardboard boxes that have been collapsed. These boxes are ideal for moving with. There are small laptop boxes that fit books really well (so you can fill the box with books and STILL be able to move it) and I have Larger desktop boxes that are good for lighter stuff like clothes and linnen, theres also a handfull of archive boxes which may or may not still be in reasonable condition.

Saddly I'm going to be throwing these out at some point in the future when my recycling bin is no longer full.

I thought I would offer them to anybody who might possibly need or want them.

I think theres about 30 or 40 boxes. ( Exact count may change )

I need a little bit of help with a poster I need for work.

Situation: We have a corporate application that needs to be closed down at the end of the day to allow the backups to run properly in the evening. I have found that many people are still forgetting to close it down.

I want to make an A3 poster that I can laminate and post around the office in prominant locations to remind people to log out, but Im not creative enough or at least I cant produce what i want to produce.

Can anybody help me?

The plain boreing text would be as follows.

"Please make sure you have logged out of LIMS at the end of the day. If your the last to leave please make sure LIMS is closed. "

I was thinking a big A3 poster like those WW2 recruiting posters with something along the lines of

"Do _YOU_ log out of LIMS at the end of the day?

PLEASE ensure you and all your collegues have logged out of LIMS at the end of the day"

Or something like that.

hell, at this point im willing to look at ANY sort of design. I just want it to be bright and catchy that people will look at and read.

Over the last few months the D&D D20 games I've been involved with have sort of lost their steam as the DM and then a nother member of the party disapeared off to raise their family. (FOOLISH MORTALS).

I've been keen to play Pen and Pencil RPG for a while, and I've been looking for an alternative party that isnt so fixated on getting laid and raising kids.. Well, hang on..... At least the raising children fixation is a pain in the.... scheduling.

I'm interested in trying to run a Firefly style campaign using the D20 Modern / Future rules. It wont be EXACTLY firefly. It will draw on stuff from Firefly and maybe Star Wars and maybe just general modern Earth.

The Serenity / Firefly verse is a good choice for a verse to game in, or base a game off, because its very popular at the moment. With the film having just finished and the series not being continued I know of several people who have said "DAMN!... maybe we just D20 it!"

Given the huge interest in Serenity / Firefly at the moment I think I can safely get away with blatantly ripping off the Firefly verse and mixing it in with the star wars verse and maybe a bit of modern earth verse and then make it work Sort of.

I'm still developing a game concept and I havent even fleshed out the adventures for it yet, but I thought I would mentiuon that that was what i was interested in doing to see how much interest there is. If theres totally none then I wont go to a huge amount of effort. But if everybody says "Im in.. we will be there in 20 minutes" then I will seriously work on the concept. (At the detriment to my paid work of course.. (who ever said I was ethical (And if you come accross an NPC with a .50cal and the name of Mc Strudle.. its best to run in the opposite direction)))

I want to make it mostly sensible so you probably wont find "Serenity" going up against an imperial Star Destroyer. And your unlikely to find your party going up against Imperial Storm Troopers. (Although Serenity would win if you did because everybody knows Storm Troopers cant shoot straight) (Not saying that a ship called Serenity is even going to exist.. but its a good way of refering to the verses)

Who would be interested in playing? I'm not sure about character creation yet. I haven't got that far into my planning.

The idea would probably be to plan to play for two sessions and see where we have got to from there. The first session will probably be a bit of a mess as I find my feet, but the second one onwards should be better.

May even be able to play it as a play by forum game. If people are interested in that, Given that there's not going to be constant ongoing guns blazing kind of combat. Although there may be... If you run into some storm troopers...

(In case your wondering why I dont just use the simple term of ROLEPLAY.... well... One of my collegues at work is a roleplayer as well, and he told our rather conservative and uninformed boss about it. Our boss thought he meant ROLE PLAY as in.. well.. doctors and nurses.... Since I heard that story the use of the term ROLEPLAY amongst anybody other than RPG geeks is avoided at all costs...)
