Stupid people / Helpfull people
Apr. 18th, 2005 03:22 pmEven the smartest people can be stupid.
A little while ago I discovered a networking entry (ipconfig /all) on my Windows 2003 server that I couldnt find any refrence to ANYWHERE else on the system. A google for it didnt help a lot either. I posted this to the SAGE-AU mailing list hopeing that one of the other systems administrators would help or could help me. of the responses I got back, I got one telling me it was DEFINATLY the modem on my machine, another telling me I had A VPN connection terminating on the machine and a third that told me it would be the DSL I have on that machine.
What that means to me is NONE of those people who responded (albiet thinking they were bieng helpfull) actually read my email that said there were NO VPNs, NO modems and NO other network devices other than the default built in system nic..... AHHK!!!
Helpfull stupid Helpfull people!
