Obligatory Post : First time in months

So we all knew this day would come, or at least we spotted it a few months out when the polls began to point out that the Republicans may have a slight issue with their public opinion polls

The question I have really is Just how big a thrashing will the Democrats give the Republicans?

It looks like The Democracts are coming VERY close to absolute power.... My question is, is this a good thing?

No, absolute power is not a good thing. But a lot needs to be done and a clear mandate to do so will be helpful. Hopefully they won't abuse the power too badly, and hopefully by the next election, their will be a stonger opposition.

Lesser of two evils. Things will be a lot better now the Republicans don't have absolute power.

In fact, I think you'd have to go a long long way before you'd see a repeat of the extent of the evils of the last 8 years under Bush.

And I suspect a couple of *good* things might happen, too.
